Celtic and Rangers fans were involved in a large-scale brawl in the street before Sunday's Old Firm match.

Around 15 supporters fought in the street in the south side of Glasgow shortly before the start of the Scottish League Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

The fans clashed on the corner of Victoria Road in Govanhill not long before 2pm and poles and street signs were used as weapons by some of those involved.

The violent scenes were captured by a dog walker and then posted online.

A total of 18 men were arrested following the match but no one has yet been arrested in connection with the Victoria Road brawl.

Police Scotland said all of the arrests were made in or around Hampden Park in Glasgow, where the Old Firm match took place on Sunday.

A 27-year-old man was arrested and detained in connection with an alleged sectarian breach of the peace outside the ground.

A 17-year-old was arrested and detained for allegedly carrying a pyrotechnic device.

Reports will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the pair are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

A further 16 men, aged between 17 and 68, were arrested for minor public order offences.

An 11-year-old boy was also taken to hospital after he was hit on the head by a bottle outside Hampden.

The incident took place on Aitkenhead Road shortly before kick-off in the Old Firm match around 2pm on Sunday.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by ambulance and needed stitches to a head wound.
