Second man due in court over death of father after disturbance
John Smith died in hospital after incident at his home in Stevenston, Ayrshire.
A second man is due in court in connection with the death of a father-of-four after a disturbance at a house.
John Smith, 52, was left severely injured after an alleged attack at a house in Misk Knowes in Stevenston, Ayrshire, on October 8. He died at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital three days later.
On Monday, police confirmed that a 30-year-old man had been arrested in connection with Mr Smith's death.
He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday
Last week, Allan Robertson, 26, from Glasgow, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court charged with murdering the 52-year-old.
He was also charged with assault to severe injury and attempted murder of another man.
He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
