Police are searching for a vulnerable missing woman who vanished from her home nine days ago.

Margaret Fleming was last seen by her carers in Inverkip, Inverclyde, on October 28.

Officers say they are concerned for the wellbeing of the 36-year-old, who has learning difficulties.

Specially-trained police are searching the area where Ms Fleming disappeared.

Earlier this week, chief inspector Elliot Brown said: "There is a real strength of feeling in the community of Inverkip about Margaret's disappearance, and we've had a few local people reach out to us to ask if they can help in some way.

"Whilst we are very appreciative of such offers and very pleased with the response we've received from the public, we have specialist search officers in and around the area where she went missing carrying our significant enquiries.

"Local people can help us by sharing our appeals to trace Margaret, please study her image and share with friends - have you seen her? Do you know her?

"Do you have anything you can pass to police which might be able to help with our enquiries? If so, please contact us immediately via 101."
