Wheelchair tennis star Gordon Reid is to receive a special honour in recognition of his successes in the sport.

The 25-year-old, now ranked number one in the world, will be made an honourary freeman of Argyll and Bute on Wednesday.

He will be presented with the award following a special meeting of Argyll and Bute Council.

The Scottish star has risen to the top of the sport, winning four Grand Slam titles as well as Paralympic gold in Rio de Janeiro.

Speaking to STV News earlier, he said he's looking forward to another memorable 12 months next year.
