A crash involving a motorcycle and a lorry has partly shut the A77 in Kilmarnock.

The collision happened near the Grassyards Bridge at about 7.50am on Thursday.

The road has been closed northbound while the emergency services deal with the incident.

The motorcyclist is believed to have received treatment from paramedics at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "The emergency services are dealing with a two-vehicle road crash at the Grassyards Bridge in Kilmarnock.

"The crash involved a motorcycle and a lorry.

"The motorcyclist came off their bike and was treated by the emergency services."
