The family and friends of a missing man are increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Zak Mclean, 24, was last seen on Fullarton Street in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, at around 8pm on Wednesday January, 11. He was reported missing to police two days later.

Mr Mclean is described as 5ft 10in, of slim build with short black hair and brown eyes.

When last seen he was wearing a black hooded jacket, navy Boss tracksuit trousers and blue Adidas trainers.

Inspector John Hamilton at Kilmarnock Police Station urged anyone with information on Mr Mclean's whereabouts to come forward.

He said: "Despite extensive searches we have yet to establish Zak's whereabouts since Wednesday, January 11.

"His family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned as they say that it is completely out of character for him to be missing for such a period of time.

"I urge anyone who has seen Zak since 8pm on Wednesday January 11 or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts to contact police at Kilmarnock immediately."
