A man suffered face and leg injuries after being struck by a car in Glasgow.

The pedestrian was knocked down on Pollokshaws Road at 7.15pm on Saturday.

The road was closed between Allison Street and Torrisdale Street for two hours to allow collision investigators to work at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: "The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a facial injury and a leg injury."

His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
