Bus passengers have been injured in a crash with a Land Rover.

The collision happened at 12.30pm on the A811 near to Ballagan, West Dunbartonshire.

Air ambulances have been called to the crash, with three people taken to hospital.

Another person was treated by paramedics at the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police were called to a report of a road crash involving a bus and a Land Rover on the A811 near to Ballagan.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the road is closed at the Balloch end with local diversions in place.

"Enquiries are continuing and no details on injuries are available at this time."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We dispatched three ambulances, one paramedic response unit, our special operations response team, a trauma doctor and a manager to the scene.

"Two patients were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Univesity Hospital.

"One patient was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital."
