Buchanan Galleries reopens after man dies in balcony fall
The man died at the Buchanan Street shopping centre in Glasgow on Friday.
Buchanan Galleries has fully reopened after a man fell to his death at the Glasgow shopping centre.
The man, who has not been identified, fell from a second-floor balcony inside the mall at 1.45pm on Friday.
The shopping centre was evacuated and its Buchanan Street entrance was cordoned off for several hours.
On Friday, a spokesman for Buchanan Galleries said: "We can confirm an incident took place this afternoon within the centre.
"We are cooperating fully with the emergency services and assisting them with their enquiries."
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service added: "We received a call at around 1.45pm to attend an incident at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow.
"We dispatched one ambulance, a paramedic response unit and a trauma team to the scene. The first unit was on scene within three minutes."
