Two people have been left injured after they were hit by loose plaster falling from a pub ceiling.

A large block struck a man and a woman at the Rhu Inn in Helensburgh shortly before 11.15pm on Friday.

An ambulance was called to the Argyll and Bute pub but the pair are not believed to needed hospital treatment.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A section of plaster had fallen but the ceiling was intact.

"Two people sustained minor injuries."
