A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a bus in Glasgow.

The collision happened at 12.25pm on Crookston Road on Tuesday.

Ambulance crews as well as police have been called to the incident.

The road has been closed while investigations are being carried out.

A First Bus is understood to have been involved.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman added: "We dispatched one crew, the trauma team and a manager to the scene.
