A 15-year-old boy has been charged over a blaze that caused a power cut in a thousand homes.

The fire happened at an electrical substation on Napier Drive in Govan, Glasgow.

Homes were left without power for up to six hours following the incident on Monday, June 26.

Scottish Power offered a £3000 reward to anyone who had information in relation to the blaze.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 15-year-old boy is the subject of a report to both the procurator fiscal and the Children's Reporter."
