Two people have been cut free after a crash in Glasgow.

The collision, involving two cars, happened on Shettleston Road at 12.45pm on Monday.

Police closed the road while an investigation was carried out.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.

"Two patients, including a female in her 20s, were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "The occupants were trapped. One suffered a spinal injury."
