The death of a man at a railway station in Glasgow was not suspicious, according to police.

The 58-year-old was struck by a train and died at Maryhill Station at 11.30am on Monday.

He has not been identified but British Transport Police said on Tuesday that his death was not suspicious.

Paramedics treated several people aboard the train involved for shock, it is understood.

Meanwhile, several routes to and from Glasgow Queen Street were disrupted until early afternoon.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "A man, aged 58, died at Maryhill Station on Monday. His death was non-suspicious."
