Boy, 11, hurt after being hit by car while crossing road
The driver stopped after the incident but left the scene in Paisley before police arrived.
An 11-year-old boy has been injured after being hit by a car.
The child was crossing Broomland Street in Paisley, Renfrewshire, when he was struck by a Grey Saab Estate.
He suffered a foot injury in the incident at 3pm on Wednesday.
The driver stopped but took off before police arrived.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident and assistance in tracing the driver.
A police spokesman said: "About 3pm on Wednesday, an 11-year-old boy was crossing Broomland Street when he was involved in a collision.
"The car stopped but left prior to police arriving and we need to trace the driver.
"Anyone with information can report it on 101."
