The bomb squad was called to an office block in Glasgow city centre after a suspicious package was found.
The alert happened at esure on Cadogan Street at 11am on Thursday.
Officers cordoned off the street while investigations were carried out.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At around 11am today police were called to reports of a suspicious package at a business premises at Cadogan Street in Glasgow.
"Police are at the scene and a cordon is in place. EOD are attending to examine the package. Enquiries are ongoing."
