A grandmother was threatened by an intruder brandishing a butcher's knife in her home in Glasgow.
The 48-year-old was watching TV with her 17-month-old grandson when the man entered the property on Fulwood Avenue and ordered them to get upstairs.
The intruder made off empty-handed when the woman shouted on her teenage son who was upstairs at the time of the incident just before 5pm on Friday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed the incident and said: "We were called to a report of an intruder in a house on Fulwood Avenue, Glasgow at 4.50pm on Friday.
"Enquires are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
