A man has been injured in an attack by two men in Stirling.

The 29-year-old victim had personal belongings stolen from him in the "cowardly" assault.

Forth Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which took place on Burghmuir Road at around 8.30pm on Sunday.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

The first suspect is described as being around 5ft 8ins with a skinny build and was wearing a dark hoodie at the time of the incident.

The second man is around 5ft 6ins with a skinny build and was wearing a light-coloured hoodie or jumper.

Detective inspector Kenny McAndrew, of Stirling CID, said: "We're working to identify those responsible for this cowardly act and are currently pursuing various lines of enquiry as part of this.

"I would ask anyone who was walking or driving in the Burghmuir Road area around this time and who may have seen the perpetrators to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

"Likewise, anyone who recognises the descriptions of the men or has any other information about this incident is urged to contact us."
