A second man has been arrested over an alleged attempted murder at a farm.

James McGurk, 41, was working on a car at Crosslee Farm in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, when he was shot in the buttocks.

John Docherty, 45, appeared in court charged with attempted murder on Monday.

Docherty, from Largs in Ayrshire, was remanded in custody.

A second man, 36, has now been arrested and is due at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday.
