A capsized boat has been found in the search for two missing fishermen.

Coastguard teams are searching Loch Fyne in Argyll and Bute after the alarm was raised at 6pm on Thursday.

A third man was rescued from the water by the crew of a passing boat and was taken to Mid Argyll Hospital in a stable condition.

The boat belonging to the group was found at the bottom of the water on Thursday night.

Crews resumed their search at 8am on Friday after a Campbeltown RNLI Lifeboat was sent out overnight, along with a number of commercial vessels.

A coastguard spokesman said: "Attempts were made last night with a remotely operated underwater vehicle to investigate the fishing vessel which has come to rest on the sea floor, however poor visibility hampered those efforts.

"A number of Coastguard Rescue Teams and RNLI Lifeboats will meet later this morning to rejoin the search in the Loch Fyne area.

"The search remains ongoing and no further information is available at this time."
