A masked robber threatened staff with a knife during a raid on a Post Office.

The balaclava-wearing man entered Hyndland Post Office on Clarence Drive in Glasgow at around 9.10pm on Wednesday and demanded money.

He left with more than £100 and headed in the direction of Lauderdale Gardens.

Nobody was injured during the robbery but police described the staff member as "very frightened".

Police Scotland's inspector Alasdair Barlow said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Clarence Drive yesterday evening and noticed a man matching the above description, or anything at all suspicious, to please get in touch."

The robber was described as white and bearded, in his late 20s to mid 30s and around 6ft tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a dark grey fleece, black trousers and flat grey shoes. He spoke with a Glaswegian accent.
