Police are looking to trace a man after a teenage girl was indecently assaulted in Glasgow.

The 16-year-old was walking on Crookston Road when she was approached by a man who tried to engage her in conversation before assaulting her.

Officers are now appealing to the public for any information about the incident, which took place around 8.30pm on Thursday November 23, 2017.

They have also issued a CCTV image of a man who they believe might be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as white, aged 19-25, around 5ft 9 in height and of slim build.

He had light brown hair which was gelled back with shaved sides and was wearing a black parka jacket with a fur-lined hood and dark trousers.

Police said he was carrying a black bag with green writing on it from Foot Asylum.

Constable Gareth Baker, who is leading on the investigation, said: "Thankfully the 16 year-old girl was unharmed, however, she has been left shaken by the ordeal.

"It is vital that we trace the person responsible and would encourage anyone who knows the man in the image to come forward. We believe he may be able to assist us.

"If anybody has any other information that may help us in our investigation we would also ask you to contact us."
