Cyclist, 85, fighting for his life after crash with car
The pensioner was involved in a crash with with a Peugot car in Carluke.
An 85-year-old cyclist is fighting for his life in hospital after a collision with a car in South Lanarkshire.
The pensioner was involved in a crash with a black Peugot 308 in Carluke around 2.30pm on Friday.
He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where staff say he suffered life-threatening injuries.
The incident took place at the junction of Kirkton Street and Station Road.
Police said the 30-year-old woman driving the Peugot was not injured.
Any witnesses have been urged to contact police via 101.
