Revellers are in a serious condition following a suspected MDMA overdose at a gig.

Emergency services were called to the O2 Academy on Eglinton Street in Glasgow at 11pm on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man and boy and girl, both aged 16, were taken to hospital during a Steve Aoki concert.

Officers believe they had taken MDMA.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "All were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where the 20-year-old man and the 16-year-old boy are, according to medical staff, in a stable condition but giving cause for concern.

"The 16-year-old girl remains in a stable condition in hospital and will be detained overnight for observations.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding each person taking unwell.

"One line of inquiry is that each may have taken a type of MDMA but this has still to be confirmed.

"None of those involved are known to each other."
