Woman in critical condition after car crash in Glasgow
A 27-year-old man has been charged over the crash that injured the 25-year-old.
A man has been charged after a crash left a young woman fighting for her life in hospital.
At around 6.35pm on Saturday a Volkswagen Golf hit a parked Ford Focus on Kelvindale Road, Glasgow.
Emergency services attended the scene and the 25-year-old passenger in the Volkswagen was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
The driver of same car was also taken to hospital where he received treatment to a leg injury before being released.
The 27-year-old man was then arrested and charged over the incident.
There was no one in the parked Ford Focus at the time of the crash.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed the incident.
She said: "A Volkswagen Golf car struck a parked Ford Focus car in Kelvindale Road near to the junction with Balfour Street in Glasgow.
"The driver was treated for a leg injury before being released. The passenger is still in hospital and staff describe her condition as critical.
"There was no-one within the parked car at the time.
"A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged with road traffic offences."
