College bomb alert sparks evacuation of students and staff

The alarm was raised at Ayrshire College in Kilmarnock shortly at 11.30am on Monday.
Students have been sent home while a cordon has been put in place.
The alert was raised after a malicious email was sent to the college.
Witch Road and Hill Street have been closed following the alarm.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At around 11.30am on Monday, police were called to an incident, believed to be a malicious communication at Ayrshire College, Kilmarnock.
"The college was evacuated as a precaution and staff members carried out an extensive search of the building with assistance from emergency services.
"Enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."
