Police are on the hunt for a man who tried to rob a Chinese takeaway in Clackmannanshire.

The Peking Inn in Sauchie was targeted on Friday at around 10.50pm.

Stirling police are appealing for witnesses following the failed raid.

The suspect has been described as a white man with a thin build, wearing dark trousers or tracksuit bottoms and a dark blue hooded top.

Detective Inspector Michelle Findlay said: "We are looking to speak to anyone who was in Main Street, Sauchie and may have seen anything suspicious around this time.

"The suspect ran from the takeaway in the direction of Craigbank, Sauchie."
