Girl, 16, dies after being taken to hospital in Glasgow
Police were alerted on Wednesday morning and officers are not treating the death as suspicious.
A 16-year-old girl has died after being taken to hospital in Glasgow.
The teenager was at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital when she died in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police were alerted at around 9.20am and are not treating the Giffnock girl's death as suspicious.
A spokeswoman said: "Police were made aware at about 9.20am of the death of a 16-year-old girl from the Giffnock area, who had died at the hospital in the early hours of the morning.
"The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
