Fears are growing for a man who went missing from home more than a week ago.

Mark Connolly, from the Haldane area of Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, was last seen around 4pm on Friday February 9.

Police confirmed Mr Connolly, 48, was formally reported missing on Tuesday.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact officers in Dumbarton.

Inspector David Quinn said: "Mr Connolly is well known within the local community and is usually in regular contact with family members.

"The fact that no-one has heard from him for several days now causes them great concern and they urging him to contact them to let them know he is safe and well."

Mr Connolly is around 5ft 10in, of slim build, with cropped dark hair and blue eyes.

He has lost a significant amount of weight in the last few weeks and may appear thinner than usual to those who know him.

When last seen he was believed to be wearing blue jeans, blue training shoes and a mustard coloured jacket.

Anyone with information about Mr Connolly is asked to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3528 of 13 February 2018.
