Man injured as riot police called to 'knife siege'
Emergency services were called to Harhill Street in Govan, Glasgow, on Monday.
A man has been injured in an alleged knife siege in a house.
Riot police were called to Harhill Street in Govan, Glasgow, at 8.30pm on Monday.
STV News understands the alleged stand-off involved a knife.
Two men and a woman were treated by paramedics before one of the men was taken to hospital.
Officers arrested both men following the alleged incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged serious assault.
"A 44-year-old man was treated for an injury to his back within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital before being discharged.
"The 50-year-old man is due before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
"The 44-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged breach of the peace. He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: "We dispatched two ambulances and our special operations response team to the scene.
"One male patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."
