A man was caught with a stun gun disguised as an iPhone during a police raid.

John McIver, 61, was held last November following the search of a flat in Possilpark, Glasgow.

Officers found the Chinese-made stun gun, a self-loading pistol, two shot guns and bullets.

A stash of cocaine, cannabis and amphetamine was also discovered in the property.

A court was told that McIver had agreed to store items on behalf of others.

He pleaded guilty to a total of 12 charges on Tuesday at the High Court in Glasgow, including possession of the firearms and being concerned in the supply of the drugs.

Tony Lenehan, defending, said McIver realised he was in a "whole lot of trouble".

Lord Mulholland told McIver: "These are very, very serious charges that you have pled guilty to."

He was remanded in custody pending sentencing next month.
