Two bodies have been recovered from the River Clyde in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the Govan area around 10.15am on Tuesday after receiving reports of a body in the water.

A police spokeswoman said a man's body was pulled from the river shortly after officers arrived on the scene.

The second incident took place an hour later at the Riverboat Casino.

Emergency services were called in at 11.20 and pulled another man's body from the water.

Inquiries are ongoing into both deaths, which are not thought to be linked.

The deaths come less than 24 hours after another body was pulled from the river at the Clyde Arc bridge.
