A man is in a serious condition after an early morning stabbing in Glasgow.

The 62-year-old was attacked during a disturbance within a flat on Zena Place in Robroyston at around 7am on Saturday.

It is believed the owner of the flat was hosting a party on Friday night.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but has since been transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains.

A Police spokeswoman said: "At around 7.10am on Saturday, police were called to a flat in Zena Place, Robroyston, where a man had been stabbed during a disturbance.

"Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable and enquiries into the incident are continuing."
