Police are hunting a convicted prisoner who has absconded while on home leave.

Neil McInally was reported missing from an address in the east end of Glasgow at 8.15am on Friday.

He had been on home leave from HMP Castle Huntly near Dundee.

The 33-year-old is described as white, 6ft 1in and of average build with short dark hair.

Police said that members of the public should not approach him if they see him and should instead contact Police Scotland on 101 or 999, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.

It is believed the missing man has connections to the east end of Glasgow.
