An investigation is underway after a 4x4 struck three park cars outside a railway station.

Police Scotland said the accident happened around 12:25pm outside Fort Matilda station on Newark Street, Greenock, Inverclyde.

A picture taken at the scene shows the vehicle's front and rear wheels on the passenger side resting on one the last of the three damaged in the collision.

A force spokeswoman said no one was injured and an investigation to establish the circumstances is under way.
