Four people have been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed to death in a flat.

Emergency services were called to Reidvale Street in Dennistoun, Glasgow, shortly after 5pm on Monday.

A 56-year-old man was taken to hospital after allegedly being stabbed where he died shortly after.

Four people fled in a Vauxhall Astra towards Iceland between Main Street and Miller Street in Baillieston.

Three of the suspects, two men and a woman, ran off from the car before being caught by police.

Another man, who remained in the vehicle, was arrested and taken to hospital.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At 5pm on Monday, police received a report of a disturbance involving several people on Reidvale Street.

"A man aged 56 was injured in the disturbance and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he later died.

"The suspects then made off in a black coloured Astra.

"They headed towards Baillieston where they stopped and fled the vehicle.

"Officers continued on foot and arrested two men aged 32 and 37 and a 21-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

"A further male aged 37 was also arrested from within the car.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
