Police are hunting two knife-wielding robbers who threatened Greggs workers before stealing a sum of money in Glasgow.

The men entered the bakery on Budhill Avenue in Shettleston before brandishing a knife at two members of staff and demanding cash.

Officers are also appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place just before 6pm on Thursday and have released a description of the two suspects who made off in a gold or orange coloured car.

Both men are described as white and were wearing blue hooded tops, jeans and had blue scarfs covering their faces.

The two members of staff were not injured, but were badly shaken by the robbery.

He said: "Officers have been out in the area carrying out house to house enquiries, and studying CCTV footage to gather more information on this incident and trace the two men responsible."
