Two teenagers have been charged over a blaze which broke out at a derelict hospital in Glasgow.

The fire at Stobhill Hospital on Balornock Street broke out on Tuesday night and tore through the building.

At its height, more than 100 firefighters were involved in tackling the fire.

Two males, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A report has been forwarded to the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration for consideration.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Following a suspicious fire at a derelict hospital building on Tuesday 31 July 2018, we can confirm two males, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"Around 6.20pm, police were made aware of a fire at the old Stobhill Hospital on Balornock Road Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and fire was extinguished."
