A teenager is in a serious condition after falling ill at a dance music event in Glasgow.

The 19-year-old woman was among three people taken to hospital during Coloursfest at Braehead Arena.

She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in a critical condition following this weekend's gig.

Officers say she is now in a serious but stable condition.

A 21-year-old man is also in hospital while a woman, 31, is being treated at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. Both are in a stable condition.

Officers have launched a drug probe following the incidents.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "An investigation is under way.

"We can confirm these were separate incidents and are not linked."

Colourfest, which attracts thousands of people every year, is Scotland's longest running dance music event.

This year's headliners included Showtek and Ben Nicky.
