A man has been arrested after three teenagers were allegedly stabbed with swords and another was assaulted.

The alleged attack happened between Overlee Park and Netherton Braes in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire.

STV News understands three youths, who were all male, were attacked with swords in a brawl, which broke out while they were celebrating their exam results.

Another teenager suffered a head injury during the alleged altercation.

Officers have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the incident.

The youngsters were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Enquiries are continuing to trace individuals involved in the disturbance and anyone with information is asked to contact Cathcart CID via 101."
