Police are trying to trace the final steps of a man found dead in a house, more than two weeks after last being seen.

The body of Leigh McCracken was discovered in a property on Anderson Drive in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire, at 2.30pm on Friday.

His death is being treated as unexplained.

Officers are trying to piece together the final movements of Mr McCracken, who was last seen at Eastwood Health Centre more than two weeks ago.

Inspector Craig McPhail said: "We are continuing to try and piece together the last movements of Leigh to help us with our enquiries.

"The last confirmed sighting we have of Leigh was on Wednesday, July 25, at Eastwood Health Centre.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have seen him or heard from Leigh either on this date or after.

"We have been checking CCTV and making door to door enquiries in the area but would ask anybody who knows her or lives in the area and has any information that can help us to please come forward and contact us."
