Man to stand trial over 'attempted murder' of baby at flat
William Robertson, 21, is accused of trying to kill the ten-month-old girl in Clydebank.
A man is to stand trial charged with the attempted murder of a ten-month-old baby girl.
William Robertson is alleged to have tried to kill the infant at a flat in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire.
The 21-year-old is accused of repeatedly striking her on the head and body.
Robertson faces a separate allegation he "wilfully exposed" the child in a manner "likely to cause un-necessary suffering or injury to health".
It is claimed he drank alcohol and smoked "controlled substances".
Robertson, also of Clydebank, is further accused of a drugs charge and assault.
Donald Findlay QC, defending, pleaded not guilty to the allegations during a short hearing.
The trial is due to begin in November. The case could last up to six days.
