Officers raided the residence on Great Western Road, near Landsdowne Crescent, Kelvinbridge, at around 6.30pm on Friday.

They recovered from the flat a significant quantity of drugs, believed to be cannabis.

A pair of men, aged 55 and 31, were arrested and charged in connection with the find.

The men are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Detective inspector Stevie Elliot said: "This was a significant find and the recovery reflects our determination to tackle the availability of illicit drugs within our communities.

"I would encourage people to report any suspicious activity to police via 101 or call Crimestoppers where details can be given in confidence."
