Man seriously injured after being 'repeatedly stabbed'

A man has been seriously injured after he was allegedly stabbed repeatedly in a house.
The attack is said to have happened at a property on Thomas Street, Annan, on Sunday.
The 40-year-old sustained a variety of serious injuries following the alleged attack.
Another man, aged 45 from Stranraer, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The man is being treated in respect a number of serious injuries.
"A 45-year-old man from Stranraer has been arrested in connection with the matter and a report is being prepared for the procurator fiscal."
