Two men have appeared in court charged with murdering a man outside a house.

Rizwan Ahmed and Kamram Ahmed were arrested following the death of Kevin McGuire on Morar Street, Wishaw.

The 30-year-old, of Wishaw, and Kamram, 26, of Wishaw, are accused of murdering Mr McGuire.

Both men have also been charged with attempted murder and assault.

They made no plea or declaration during the private hearing at Hamilton Sheriff Court and they were committed for further examination.

Both were remanded in custody and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
