An arrest has been made after a man was allegedly stabbed to death on a street.

Emergency services were called to Bellvue Crescent, Bellshill, at 4.40am on Wednesday, October 3.

Ross Gow, 25, was discovered fatally injured and was taken by ambulance to the Monklands District General Hospital.

He died a short time later.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with his death.

He is due before Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A police spokesperson added: "A full report has been forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
