A vulnerable 89-year-old woman has gone missing from her home in the west end of Glasgow.

Mary Fotheringham was last seen at her home on Apsley Street in Partick at 8.30am on Tuesday.

Care staff turned up to her home at 10.30am but she was missing.

Mrs Fotheringham suffers from anxiety, arthritis and has limited eyesight.

She is white, slim and has short grey wavy hair.

Ms Fotheringham also wears glasses and uses a walking frame

When she was last seen she was wearing a grey pleated knee-length skirt, a beige top and a red knitted waistcoat.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Extensive searches and enquiries are ongoing to trace Mary and we would urge anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to please contact Partick Police Office through 101."
