Man stabbed in 'attempted murder' during flat fight

A man has allegedly been stabbed in an attempted murder at a flat.
The fight is said to have happened at a property on Lyle Street in Greenock, Inverclyde, at 6.40pm on Thursday.
A 48-year-old was taken to hospital in a serious condition following the alleged attack.
Officers have arrested a 38-year-old man and a woman, 41, in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "At around 6.40pm on Thursday, police were called to a report of a disturbance within a flat on Lyle Street in Greenock.
"Emergency services attended and a 48-year-old man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital where medical describe his condition as stable.
"A 38-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"They are due to appear at Greenock Sheriff on Monday."
