A man has died after he was found seriously injured on a Glasgow street.

The 30-year-old was discovered on Greenview Street, Shawlands, at around 11.20pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance but later died.

Officers are currently treating the death as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called out to Greenview Street in Shawlands after a 30-year-old man was found with serious injuries.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died a short time later.

"A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish the cause of his death which at this time police are treating as suspicious."
