Fire crews were called to the second blaze in two weeks at a BP petrol station.

Emergency services were called to the station on Stockiemuir Road in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire.

Around 15 firefighters battled the blaze, which ripped through a refrigeration unit at 3.30am on Friday.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "We had three appliances at the scene.

"Crews left at 5.45am.

"We don't know if it was suspicious or not but investigations are being carried out."

The blaze is the second to hit the station this month after it was deliberately set on fire.
